Antimicrobal peptides and microbial resistance

The growing number of strains that are multi-resistant to antibiotics represents a major health risk. The spread of antibiotic resistance is fuelled by the "One Health" context, which links human health, animal health and environmental health. Faced with this crisis, understanding and preventing the development of antimicrobial resistance is a major challenge. Developing new therapeutic strategies based on antimicrobial peptides is one of the proposed solutions.

Teams in the network are examining the mechanisms of resistance to antimicrobial peptides and the role of resistance to these peptides in the ecology of micro-organisms and host-microbiota interaction.
